Executive Committee

Currently S2 has 7 members in the Executive Committee (EC) who are experienced, committed legal professionals and development activists with voluntary spirits. EC ensures that the organization runs smoothly and in a planned manner in conformity with its objectives. It is also the policy formulating body of S2 in light of the organization’s constitution.

The EC discusses key policies, strategies, issues and programme. It approves plans of strategic importance to be implemented by the S2 programme/projects. The Chief Executive is authorized by the EC to perform all executive tasks including overseeing the execution and coordination of the organization’s policy and strategic decisions. The EC meets twice a year, to approve plans and review progress. Details of executive committee members are given below:

Shree Shanta Laxmi Khadgi, Chairperson

Ms. Khadgi has worked as a Project Officer in UNICEF with involvement in planning, monitoring, supporting sectoral government partners, strengthening and mobilizing capacities of NGO partners. 

Dr. Kundu Yangzom, Vice Chairperson

Dr. Yangzom was the head of the Ob\Gyn Department at Patan Hospital. Currently, she is working as a Consultant in B and B Hospital, Norvic International Hospital and Subechhya Hospital.

Shree Naresh Man Singh, Treasure

He is a well known Entrepreneur having extensive experience in the tourism sector of Nepal.

Shree Sukh Maya Bohra, Member

She is a Trainer with expertise in Women, Gender, Development, Research, Communication, Manual and Training Package Development.

Shree Kusum Saakha, Member

 Ms. Saakha is a Professor at Nepal Law Campus, Tribhuvan University, Kathmandu. She has conducted numerous researches on Legal Profession, Property rights of women, Status of Nepalese Women and Protection of Women’s Rights in the prospective constitution of Nepal.

Shree Bhoj Raj Shrestha, Member

He is the founder of an organization for disabled people called ILC (Independent Living Center). He has strong experience in advocacy from disability’s perspective.

Dr. Swoyambhu Man Amatya-  Member-Secretary

Dr. Amatya is a retired government secretary. He has served more than three decades in Managing Natural Resources of the Country, Environment and Development Planning.  He has written several articles, booklets and books on Natural Resource Management
